In the interest of education and promoting preservation of our fisheries I invite my readers to take a gander at the attached article wrote by respected outdoor author and hallowed fisherman Gord Pyzer. The article discusses how the Ministry of Natural Resources develops these limits and the potential for over generalization leaving small and medium sized fisheries vulnerable.

My thought has always been that every fish you don’t put in the cooler has a chance to breed and create thousands more. Don’t get me wrong, I love a shore lunch as much as the next guy. But I love the actual act of angling much more. Besides think there is a happy medium where we can still “have our cake and eat it too”, I’m just suggest we all eat a little less cake….
Cheers
