Late Season Perching

Winter is breaking here in southern Ontario and the temperatures have climbed into the positive.  Thankfully, I was able to find some time last weekend for one more trip before the ice becomes unsafe.  Even though Perch weren’t the target species, we certainly had fun catching these aggressive biters.

Aftrer numerous nibbles and misses, we managed to ice a good sized jumbo as well.  Nice to see bigger perch in a smaller back lake.

(For context, that’s a size 12 skidoo boot beside the jumbo)

It was also nice to see lots of rabbit activity on the trail as well.
