Whether your planning your next portaging trip, scoping out some new hunting grounds or just wondering when the ice is out on your favourite lake, current aerial imagery can be an invaluable asset. Although current imagery can be impossible to find sources do exist.
The MODIS data set provided by NOAA provides several aerial images a day which cover most of Ontario. Although sometimes obscured by weather, a clear image can usually be found which is current within a day or so of the search date.
A link to the MODIS site is posted below.

More detailed imagery, although sometimes slightly out of date, can found through Google’s free aerial image delivery program, Google earth.
